Rachael Tutwiler Fortune began her career in 2008 as a Teach For America Corps Member in Duval County Public Schools. Her storied career in education policy has taken her to Oakland, California, and Washington, D.C., before coming back to serve in her TFA placement community in Jacksonville.

Jared serves as a market president at City Year. In this role, he oversees City Year sites in 10 cities: Baton Rouge, Buffalo, Columbia, Jacksonville, Little Rock, Manchester, New Orleans, Orlando, Providence and Sacramento.

Jim Curran is a Senior Vice President, Regional Field Executive and is currently the interim executive director for TFA Colorado. Jim started his career as a 2005 Phoenix corps member, teaching 4th grade in Laveen, AZ. He spent most of his career in South Dakota and was the executive director there for ten years.

Beatrice Viramontes is a longtime champion for students and their families and a coalition builder who believes deeply in the power of communities to realize a world where all children have access to an excellent education.

Ryan Pavel served in the U.S. Marine Corps before teaching high school students in Detroit. He now leads the Warrior-Scholar Project, empowering veterans to succeed in higher education.

Destany Story was inspired to join Teach For America and become a teacher by the profound impact her TFA teachers had on her. She is a Memphis 2019 alum who still walks in her purpose today of empowering others.
