What is the Teach For America Corps?

The TFA corps is a full-time, paid opportunity to lead in a classroom, where you'll make a real difference with students who are underserved and underestimated.

Salary and Benefits

As a corps member, you'll be hired by a local school and receive the same salary, vacation, and benefits as other first-year teachers. TFA also offers additional financial support to help with the transition into your new role.

What you can expect: 

  • Salary ($32K - $72K depending on the region)
  • Health insurance
  • Retirement benefits
  • Stipend for summer training living expenses ($3K - $6.5K)
  • Need-based grants and loans
