Julian Serrão (Connecticut ’12) had difficulty deciding between a career path in education and a more lucrative one in finance. After a visit to a juvenile detention center during his senior year, the decision became much easier.

Sandhya says she wouldn’t be the businesswoman she is today if it weren’t for the four years she spent teaching at her TFA placement school. 

Micah uses his passions and skills he gained in the corps to expand his impact as a project leader for Boston Consulting Group. 

Nat Natarajan first learned the value of building relationships as a middle school math teacher with the corps. Years later, he remains involved in education in his role as an investment banker working on a technology team whose focus is in edtech.

Femi Alese learned the value of vision setting to achieve measurable results in the corps. Today, Femi uses that same growth mindset of continuous reflection and improvement as a product manager.

Kat got her start as a high school teacher in Brooklyn. She now works with clients as a strategic consultant, something she hopes to one day apply to the field of education.

Minh led 89 students to academic success as a founding member of a charter school while in the corps. He’s now leveraging the skills he learned, leading global education programs.

The daughter of educators, Rose has always valued education and helping others. She’s applied the communication and entrepreneurial skills she learned teaching to build her own marketing consulting company, and sits on the board of GeoKids.

Dr. Jonathan Cook’s love for science led him to TFA, where he taught the subject as a corps member.

Sourjya's career took an unexpected detour when he joined the corps.  As a consultant, he brings his classroom leadership experience to the corporate world.
