Whitney, in her role, oversees recruitment, admissions, strategic partnerships, and alumni career services, ensuring diverse cohorts of teachers and tutors are placed across 300+ communities.
Committed to equity-driven leadership in education, she began her journey as a marketing strategy consultant at the Monitor Group, working with organizations like the KIPP Foundation and Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT). These experiences fueled her passion for racial and educational equity, leading her to join Teach For America.
Previously leading TFA's strategy team, Whitney guided the organization through the challenges of the global Covid-19 pandemic. Her role was crucial in developing marketing and communications capabilities and expanding its digital reach and impact. As head of national development efforts from 2012 to 2016, she successfully secured increased funding, growing national operating funds from $30M to $57M and broadening support during significant organizational shifts and two CEO transitions.
Whitney holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, contributing to fostering diversity and a recipient of the Dean's Award for exceptional leadership. She also graduated with high honors in history from Harvard College. Whitney resides in Massachusetts with her husband Matt and their three young children.
