Sean Parker has served as the Executive Director of Teach For America Nevada since 2015. He lives and works in Downtown Las Vegas. His life’s work is to improve Las Vegas' education system to serve as an example of educational excellence for our country. Sean believes that a quality education unlocks doors of opportunity for individuals and for the economic wellbeing of our state.

Sean attended the University of Southern California where he majored in Neuroscience as a Trustee Scholar. He joined Teach For America in 2009 and has been a teacher, teacher coach, or staff member at Teach For America ever since. Sean is committed to our work because of the sacrifices his family made. They taught him how critical a great education is to achieving an equitable society. He’s an alumnus of Leadership Las Vegas (Class of 2018), a member of the Downtown Vegas Alliance, the Metro Chamber of Commerce, the UNLV Education Leadership Program Advisory Board, the Las Vegas Innovators in Education committee. He is obsessed with learning what’s new in education and dreaming alongside our community to create a vision of expanded opportunities for our students.
