Dara Bender is an educator and military spouse. She currently lives in Colorado Springs with her husband and their three children. Dara's husband, Brian, is in his 15th year of Active Duty. Dara was a 2015 corps member in San Antonio and spent three years teaching middle school science.

Eddy Hernandez Perez believes education is the field in which he can put his talents to their best use. Though he no longer leads a classroom, he plans to use his law degree to continue to facilitate childhood learning.

Fatema Basrai, a San Antonio 2012 TFA alum, noticed the close connection between education and public health as a third grade teacher. Today, she works at the Yale Institute for Global Health to support the creation of innovative health solutions.
