If you selected multiple placement communities within a single region, we will consider those selections alongside your eligibility for subjects, coursework and community placement availability. You should be excited about teaching in any of the communities you selected. By ranking each placement community, you are giving the regional team input about where you would like to teach within the region.

For example, if you select Hawai'i Island as your #1 community preference and O'ahu is your #2 sub-region, our Assignment Team will view your selection of the Hawai'i region overall and use this information to determine your regional placement. The Hawai'i regional team will then consider your preference for Hawai'i Island over O'ahu when determining your community placement. If you also selected an optional 3rd community in another region, we will consider your eligibility, availability and need there before finalizing region and then community to determine your offer.
