Elizabeth Bleier

Elizabeth serves as the Executive Director of Teach For America St. Louis where she works to support a network of 600 local educators and educational equity advocates to improve outcomes for students from historically underserved communities. Her areas of expertise include organizational and strategic leadership, fundraising, talent acquisition and performance management. Elizabeth started her career as a high school special education teacher in the St. Louis Public Schools district through Teach For America.

Later, she joined KIPP St. Louis as the founding Director of Talent Acquisition, managing the recruitment, hiring and talent functions and supporting the region’s growth from one to six schools. In 2018 Elizabeth joined Teach For America as Chief of Staff and managed the talent, strategy and operation of the St. Louis regional team before transitioning into the Executive Director role. Elizabeth received her BA in Political Science from Grinnell College, her Masters in Special Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and her MA/MBA in Educational Leadership and Marketing from Saint Louis University. She was a 2022 St. Louis Business Journal 40 under 40 honoree and lives in the Tower Grove area of St. Louis city.
