Dr. Katie Buckley is a Senior Research Scientist at Teach for America who oversees the research and measurement on students’ social, emotional, and academic development. She has deep expertise in measurement, research, and implementation of strategies related to social-emotional development and equitable school environments, based on the science of learning and development. She believes deeply in the need to translate research to practice to drive real change that will reduce inequitable outcomes and create learning environments where all students can thrive. Prior to joining TFA, she worked at Transforming Education, Abt Associates, Education Development Center, The Center for Assessment, and the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard. Dr. Buckley received her doctorate from the Harvard University School of Education and her Masters in Public Policy from Georgetown University.
She currently lives in Arlington, Massachusetts, with her husband and two daughters, but you can find her most weekends mountain biking, skiing, or watching her girls’ soccer games.
