Chanelle Hardy

Chanelle Hardy taught 5th graders in her home city as a member of the Washington, DC Teach For America corps. Her passion for students and their families led her to a career in law and policy. She held leadership roles on Capitol Hill, at the National Urban League, and the FCC, before joining the Google policy team.
As Google’s head of civil rights, she serves as a trusted strategic advisor to internal and external leaders across issues of tech, policy, and civil rights. She also leads the Google Next Gen Leaders program, an initiative she founded to support multicultural emerging tech policy leaders.
